The waffle shop that has many varieties of waffles, but it just didn't seem right to receive one which was lukewarm cold. They claim to be selling good grade, freshly baked waffles using the finest ingredients but it's quite questionable. I felt as though it has been prepared ahead, hence, lukewarm cold. Thus, not too sure baout the  It wasn't as fresh as expected. Not sure if I will try it again.. Possibly another time - do not want to penalise a shop just because of one try :-)

Just another cafe in Uptown, focusing on Japanese products. But just scroll down for some of their specialties, it's more than just another cafe.

They serve various types of tea - quite a few choices which I've then decided to go for their popular pick. We tried both the basic Hoji Tea (RM10) and Green Tea (RM10).

For those who loves Japanese sweets, they have a few items which are great to go with the tea.

Sakura Mochi (RM5)

Warabi Mochi (RM7)

Ichigo Daifuku (RM5)

There is also a range of hot tea, cold tea, milk tea and smoothie. As for savoury food, they did not look quite appealing to me.

Look at the sweets we've ordered - these look exactly the same with the models!

Tea is refillable. The hot water's temperature is probably controlled in the kettle sitting right on the electric stove. They have special tea equipment to prepare the tea and to refill it. It's really not your regular afternoon tea.

We were offered some cold tea to try. It was not in the menu at the point of visit.

Menu is absolutely limited, would be a pleasure for more choices - could work a little on savoury and bring in more sweets. All in all, it's a great place for Japanese tea and sweets for an afternoon break!

The bestie decided to buy us dinner for her birthday... and she recommended this place. Who knows this hidden gem is so good?! We went for the 5 course dinner and boy, you'll be surprised that it's more than enough.

There are some snacks servings, which is not stated in the menu. The snack itself could have already been considered as 1 course!

Snack #1 - Deep fried Choysum Crisps.

A little oily because it's deep-fried. Drink loads of water to avoid dry throat.

Snack #2 - Wantan with Lamb and Jackfruit fillings.

Definitely not your regular wantan.. Sweet, savoury, very mild gamey all wrapped and deep fried. It's really something different.

Snack #3 / Palette Cleanser - Frozen Yogurt with Roselle Leather, Cuttlefish, Cumin and Lime Zest.

This bite size snack is as huge as your thumb. Do not leave it out for too long, it's small and its frozen. It will melt... The red-ish thingy which wraps the yogurt is the roselle leather. No it has nothing to do with your leather shoes, so don't worry. The texture of it is slightly chewy - it felt as though I was biting a piece of paper. Like Viet spring roll sheet. The taste of the cumin is so strong I actually didn't really like it. It's quite amazing to get so many different flavours in just one small bite.

Course #1 - Blue Mackerel - Cured Mackerel, Ulam Raja, Pomelo, Local Flowers

Course #2 - Roast Mushrooms - King Oyster Mmushrooms, Green Curry Paste, Yoghurt, Dried Mackerel Flakes

Course #3 - Braised Aubergine - Braised in Mushroom Stock, Jackfruit Seeds, Black Bean Sauce, Garlic Emulsion

Course #4 - Lamb - Confit of Lamb Breast, Spring Onions, Marsala and Onion Puree

Course #4 - Pike Conger - Smoked Pike Conger, Custard, Fermented Long Beans Relish, Roasted Okra, Clams Foam

Course #4 - Duck - Roast Duck Breast, Duck Leg Rillette, Beetroots, "Blood" Sauce

Course #5 - Mulberry Jam, Cardamom Ganache, Cashew Brittles, Pucuk Gajus, Mulberry Snow

Snack #4 - Popsicle

5 courses is more than enough for small eaters like me. Men should probably go for 10 courses. Then again it's only a couple of dollars extra for 10 courses. This is one place I'd recommend for people who loves fine dining food. It's not just the usual western flavours, it's very fusion, incorporating a lot of local herbs and flowers to create that sensation. It's not your usual cheese, cream or caviar, but it's fresh local items. For something like that in Europe will probably costs 2-3 times more expensive because they can't get herbs as fresh.

I will definitely revisit this place when they change the menu. Oh the dinner went for about 3 hours +. So take your time to enjoy the night.

The cakes look sooooo good...

I had to get myself the Red Velvet Cheesecake... It's ultra moist.... Yums! I wish I had extra room to try other cakes.

Like Hummingbird in London, Magnolia is worth a visit for their Red Velvet goodness!

Soft serve ice cream is the current hype.. This cup of soft fluffy ice cream is just available anywhere, especially in Korea. There are so many shops in Myeongdong that offers it so I've decided to just walk into any. This is way better that Softsrv in Uptown... So soft and milky! That honeycomb is a bomb! Adds so much flavour to the plain milky ice cream!

There are just so many shops in Myeongdong, just pick any one of it. They tasted a lot better with the heat trapped in my head!

Another cute cafe in Uptown..

Japanese-inspired cafe, for those of you who wants desserts during brunch, they have so many Toast selections... Good to kill two types cravings with a stone! The Shibuya Honey Toasts seems to be one of the most popular picks by most (based on observation).

However, I just came from lunch so it wasn't a good idea to get more food. Got myself a Shake it Passion (RM18).

Very beautifully presented, shave ice with mix flavours and beautiful edible flowers.

Some beautiful desserts at Aux Petits Gourmands, Chamonix.

These pictures have been taken some time ago, not sure if the prices are still as shown.

So beautiful we ordered two of it to try.

Torche Aaux Marrons and Mont Blanc looks really similar actually but the one in this shop looks like this. Cute white looking snow ball.

Chocolate selections

 Foret Noire

Torche aux Marron

Vienna Coffee

Little Mont Blanc, so cute and creative!!

If you happen to be going up to Mont Blanc via Chamonix, you can stop by at this little village. There are quite a number of shops in this small village and some restaurants. I'm not sure what exactly is good, can't possibly try all shops in the area within a few hours. But this dessert place is somewhat colourful and interesting. Both desserts we ordered were quite good and not that sweet. One of the cutest item in store is the Little Mont Blanc chocolates! It's a brilliant idea to get a box of it as souvenirs!

To go to Portofino by sea, you need to board the ferry at Santa Magherita Ligure. As we were heading back towards the train station, we passed by this popular gelato place somewhere in the some alley.

They say, when in Italy, just get gelato. :-)
