Cafe hopping around the world

Instead of standing and eating street food at Nishiki Market, we went to this cafe at the end of the street, just few doors away from BAKE Kyoto.

I thought their Matcha Latte to be pretty awesome - smooth and not very creamy. Just that warm drink I needed after walking in the cold...

Likes: Simple and convenient, not as mainstream as Starbucks.
Dislikes: I thought my latte was great so nothing that I dislike.

We found this placec by accident - we just wanted a place to sit down and have cakes and coffee.

This place is just 2 minutes walk from Kuromon Ichiba Market. They seem to be packed even after 9.30pm so I'm guessing this cafe must be alright.

We ordered strawberry cake and tea, boy they actually put a whole strawberry in it!! The cake was a little dry though. Of course, a cup of coffee as we sat right in front of where they made the coffee, don't think anyone can hold that temptation!

Likes: Simple and convenient.
Dislikes: Probably nothing that special for a visit, just a drink would do.

Just to see a comparison, I've decided to buy some cheese tarts from PABLO.

PABLO vs BAKE. Which is your favourite?

It's very sweet of PABLO to decorate their tarts with hearts - it's Valentines week!

I tried both Cheese Original & Matcha - both did not melt. I've tried both immediately after paying. I completely forgot to take a picture of the inner tart but basically it's just cake-like texture.

I think I prefer BAKE over PABLO. Just take a look at how BAKE's cheese oozes out:

Sorry PABLO fans, BAKE is definitely better than PABLO. #BakeFan

Likes: Alright place for cheese tart cravings...
Dislikes: It does not ooze out.

BAKE Cheese Tarts is at the end of Nishiki Market.. ¥216 for 1, ¥1242 for 6 tarts.

I prefer BAKE over PABLO - BAKE's cheese oozes out like liquid, whereas PABLO's tarts did not. Try both and you'll know what I mean!

There's a new concept cafe in e-Curve, Mutiara Damansara that based on Japan Akihabara maid cafe style.

It is totally a new thing in Malaysia and I was really excited to check it out myself.

The dessert menu was really classic - double scoop ice-cream, banana split and mango sago. The mango sago was a little bit too sweet.

However, they are going to change the menu soon. I am looking forward more desserts on the menu.

On the other hand, they have really cute kyaraben bento set. They were the highlight of the day.

If you're planning to go there soon, I have to let you know that Tenshi Cafe is having promotion on Hahah Deal from 29 Mar - 3 Apr.

Such indecent title. What is it gotta do with this blog anyway? Well, the Japanese being creative as usual, created boobie pudding.

¥380 for each.

OMG!!! They displayed it along side with Doraemon stuff. WTF??? Evil plan to pollute kids' mind. I want to protest...

Just kidding...

Hmmm... would you like to try some?
We already know how brilliant Japanese are with their ideas. There is no exception when it comes to dessert. As I was surfing my favorite blogs as usual, I came to Lavender Summer Dreams. Miss Sweet Lavender posted up these photos to tempt us. How cruel you are (she's trying to tempt us and making us fat!)...But we really thank you for showing us all these beautiful dessert.
