Finally the hype for this place has gone down - so it's time to try all of their cakes!

Their pastries starts from approximately RM13 to RM19 each. We had a big party that day so we ordered everything.

They all have very different texture and distinct taste, which I don't really want to discuss about it. Go and try it out yourself!

Monsieur (RM14)

Le Jasmine (RM16)

My personal favourite among all as this is one of the lightest of all.

Jaune Eclair (RM13)

Le Poire (RM14)

Very limited seats as the shop is quite small.

I have never been to Johor in my life (except going through the check-points on the way to Singapore, so I guess that doesn't count), but this year itself, I have been to the state more than 5 times. Recently whilejalan-jalan cari makan (meaning, roaming around for food) in JB, I found this eclectic looking cafe. The peculiar name got me really curious - Flower in the Window. In a glance, one might mistaken this cafe as a plant shop. The front shop is decorated with lushest potted plants that you definitely won't miss when passing by Jalan Dhoby.

We were awed with the entire interior design of the cafe that we couldn't resist to stop by for cakes despite just had a filling lunch at Roost Cafe down the road.

The foods are highly inspired by flowers and of course, you can find some hints of flower ingredients in their cooking as well. Their specialties are the variety of breads. Do check out the bread section on the menu.

My favourite pick from the drinks menu is the rosemary, chilli & lemon. Sounds weird? The taste is . acceptable and pretty refreshing. The chilli flakes are added to tickle your buds and not spicy at all.

Half of the first floor is catered for the open kitchen. Do proceed to the second floor for more spacious seating. The environment is homey and cozy. It is a place perfect for hangout with friends.

Expect some cute Disney characters walking around during breakfast to make it even more interesting!

Everybody who visits Bangkok will think of After You for their Shibuya honey toast.

Baby Shibuya Honey Toast (THB165)

Baby what???? Yes, they have the regular size toast and the smaller version. We had lunch at Som Tam Nua Siam Square which is a corner away from After You. The baby version is brilliant - no way I can finish one whole toast right after lunch!

Just the normal food court you'll find in Malaysia where you can get street food all under one roof.

We had BKT at Pao Xiang and popped by Eng Ann for local dessert.

Lin Chi Kang / Cendol seems to be very popular, they say always order something that everyone has on their table and you won't normally go wrong!

Located at Publika, this shop seems to be busy all the time. They serve Thai street food with an exorbitant price. You people are paying for their rental as well.

Boran Thai Ice Cream (RM16.90)

Not sure what style is this, but bread??? And there's sticky rice. Nothing wrong with that, except I just wanted coconut ice cream. This is too much for me.

Som Tam (RM15.90)

Yeah, you're probably thinking you can get something like this in Thailand for half the price. Also, the portions in Thailand are twice bigger and much more generous when it comes to ingredients like dried shrimps / salted egg / salted crab. Theirs is a very small and sad portion which consists of very little taste of the shrimps.

Pandan Chicken (RM13.90)

The pandan chicken is exceptionally small, and also pretty disgusting. The chicken is wrapped with pandan leaves and it's unusually oily. They are too lazy to even drain the oil before serving! The middle bits are a little pinkish. I'm not even sure if it's because of being frozen for too long so it isn't fresh or it's just undercooked. Also, these are not chunks of chicken meat, it's 50% chicken meat, 40% chicken fats and 10% chicken skin. After removing the disgusting 50%, I'm left with the chicken meat no bigger than a Ferrero Rocher chocolate. Wait, the chocolate is bigger than the actual chicken meat. This is anything but good.

"Original" Coconut Shake (RM15.90)

Please slap yourself silly if you order the Coconut Shake. It's so full you cannot move or stir. It's a pile of tasteless shaved ice. It melts extremely fast due to our weather condition. It messed up the place. When we finally had most of the tasteless shaved ice, the bottom bit is extremely sweet. What kind of coconut shake is this????? I just can't. For RM15.90, there are better options out there.

And the prices are not inclusive of GST and Service Charge. Yes, please spend your money elsewhere. This place is now listed on the Top 10 Terrible Thai Joints in Klang Valley.

On a side note, it's Halal. Perhaps that's why the attracted so many people. I shall continue to hunt for Pork Free/Halal Thai shops in Klang Valley which are MUCH better than this one.

SL introduced Issaya after her wonderful experience dining here. This restaurant is located at a rather quiet street of Bangkok. It was alright for us as our Uber driver got us here with no issues. Thank goodness for Google Maps!

We were seated downstairs - I requested for a corner table with better lighting but we were placed right in the middle. It did not really matter but it makes me wonder if they actually read our request? It wasn't a big deal, just stating the fact we've booked it a month ahead and yet they did not acknowledge our request. The place was not full to begin with.

Later, I've read somewhere that they have seats upstairs as well. Not sure how it looks like but it is apparently much more comfortable! I guess it all depends on individual. Never mind about the seats, food is more important.

Take a break from the "cooking show". Over to the drinks, I had just one cocktail, the Pandan Cooler (THB330). It wasn't a good cocktail - pandan juice itself is supposed to be refreshing but I felt anything but refreshing. The Ice Lemongrass Mint (THB150), well it's just a fancier ice lemon tea with a hint of lemongrass which is actually an excellent thirst quencher! I was skeptical about the cocktails so I didn't want to risk another glass so I've decided to settle with water.

Cheesecafe with Mulberry Gelee and Chocolate Mousse / Tao Thong "Ladybug" (THB280)

I've ordered their signature coconut dessert but the manager served me this as a starter to our dessert. What a pleasant surprise! The cheesecake is very light and fluffy which makes it easy to consume!

Cold Coconut Crepe Souffle / Kanom Tung Taek (THB560)

Another dish that they will prepare in front of you. I swear this is their main selling point. Food are prepped in front of you and it is a very good experience!

Cut the story short, I have no clue how it will look like as it is different depending the person who prepares it for you. I wonder if we are able to do it together too, hmm!

After decorating the first few bowls, she asked us how did we find out about it, and how much do we know about this dessert. All I know is it's a pretty dessert and it's popular. Little did I know, it has another name called broken bucket. As she was talking about the broken bucket, I got a shock of my life when the entire chocolate ball dropped in front of us with a few pieces of coconut cakes that popped out along the dry ice effect that made it so magical. No wonder they call it the broken bucket!!

Mix the coconut cake with the cream at the side and coat it with coconut milk and shavings. I'm not sure why is that called a crepe, it's too thick to be a crepe or perhaps it's just another name. This is a dessert NOT to be missed!!!

Some marshmallows to end the night!

I booked at least a month ahead to ensure I get to dine in one of Asia's Top 50. It's not the traditional Thai food that you expect - it's modern Thai fine fusion dining. It's a good brave move and it's no wonder that they score a place in Asia's Top 50. Also, the service is impeccable. The manager deserves an award, she made sure all her guests are comfortable and I noticed that she kept going around to check if everything is OK. She made us feel very welcomed and this is a huge plus point! Thank you again for Issaya, for the wonderful experience!

I'm sharing only the dessert part. For full review, please click here.
