Sunday's mancake. RM19. The combination of sweet and savoury is just brilliant. Who would have ever thought that beef bacon would go so well with pancakes?! 

 Local penkek. RM17. The reason I came to try - I'm a fan of pandan! Caramelised banana served on pandan pancakes. Gula Melaka on the side.

Though I would have to say this was my least favourite of all. The colour itself is such a turn off - that green. I've seen pictures online but the green did not look like what I see in pictures. Look at the one posted by EatDrinkKL, it certainly did not look like it. Too much fine tuning or the version served to them is different. I'm really not too sure, the green is way too artificial. As for the flavours it wasn't too bad, but just tad bit sweet. I prefer the mancakes over this one!

For a cup for RM10/11 with toppings, wait that's not a cup, it's 1/3 of that cup since the bottom bit is empty just to fill in dry ice for that awesome effect. If I remember correctly it costs RM8 for the plain one.. I don't quite like the idea of the shallow cup, I find it really misleading.. Also, the cotton candy is pretty but just unnecessary. The ice cream was on melting mode before I could dig into it!!

Am I the only one who thinks this cup of ice cream is a little overrated?!?!?! I don't deny this cup of ice cream is really beautiful  though I don't see the value of being a returning customer. Though I wouldn't mind returning another time for the Churros version :)

Who needs a real rose when you can have the ice cream!!!!! Real roses will DIE!

The lady who served me said I could pick as many flavours as I want. The one in the middle is the "main" flavour; pistachio gelato. It's probably the nicest Pistachio flavoured gelato I've tasted!!! The rest are just all mixed flavours I can't recall what's what.

 So many cafes popping up in the Klang Valley, I can barely keep up with them!

 Every cafe has their selling point, and for Softcore's, it is their Molten Cakes. 

Infused water is free of charge. That's the perfect way to keep your customers' happy!

 This is their tentative menu, still in discussion on additional items. It would be nice to add more selections for brunch!

 I've gotten myself a Matcha Molten Cake (RM15). The cake itself is very good - very rich in Matcha flavours. The little green dots accompanying them are extra flavours which is not really needed actually... The cake itself is so flavourful.

 It comes with a really large scoop of homemade vanilla ice cream. Boy, you should know by now that in Klang Valley, ice cream joints are charging at least RM8 for a pitiful scoop! All of the above for just RM15, that is value. The red bean's texture is perfectly smooth, unlike the usual actual beans we get from most green tea desserts. The cute little thinly crisp wafer behind, the sesame tuille, goes well with the ice cream.

One quick pop and look at those matcha lava oozing out... CANNOT RESIST. It doesn't sound very convincing to have Matcha with lime slices, but just give it a try. It's just like duck and waffle, who knows you might enjoy that combo. :)

Everything in Softcore is made from scratch, even Mayonnaise! For the price that they are charging and the amount of effort they put to decorate... It is really value for money. I'm definitely going back to try their savoury bites. Truffle fries, I'm coming for you...

I've always wanted to visit this cafe but never actually searched for it. Accidentally found out when I had to use the toilet, right after ordering a whole tray of A&W! 

Fret not, there is always room for PANCAKES.

Their signature pancakes (RM14.50)... Look at the plate of mixed berries covering it, too pretty to eat! Little did I know Kaya goes so well with Pancakes!! Come to think of it, the idea must've came from Kaya Balls! Thickness is about right, say slightly less than 1cm! I like having slight thickness to feeeeeel the tenderness and sponginess of the pancake. Like a cushion. I've been cushioned by those pancakes!!!

But man. Why did you have to ration my blueberries and half it too :( Seems rather inconsistent for berries serving, perhaps it's just based on availability. Still... Blueberries for the win. I wouldn't mind another portion of this delish pancakes!

 Nuts about coconuts? Sangkaya is now available at Ampang Point...! It is a very small booth - a grab and go concept.

 It costs RM9.90 for the signature coconut ice cream. Yes it comes with the husk.

 You can also grab a cup of coconut juice if you're not feeling icy...

 It's basically the typical Thai style coconut ice cream where you can add your own condiments. Corn, cornflakes, roasted nuts, coconut strips.. Or have it plain. You know, the ones you get in Chatuchak Market in Bangkok.

 It's so delish, the coconut fragrant... The texture of the cream.. It's not really creamy, something like gelato but stronger in flavours. Rest assured one is definitely not enough!

They have a store along Jalan Alor, but why bother hustling in that busy street when you can always get it in a mall :)
