Afternoon tea at the Jane Austen Center. It's inside the building itself. Try reserving a table by the window. It feels better, I don't know. It's my own perception that sitting by the window the view is much better.
I must say that this lady is extremely capable! She runs this place alone perhaps? I'm not quite sure but she was the only one serving. Like a few tables. She's very friendly and nice too.
They have a variety of sets for you to pick. If you are not really hungry, grab something from the ala carte section.
The scones was awesome. It was still hot when she served it. The texture is a bit "bready", not too soft like cake. I love the cream with scones. It was so good I felt like finishing the entire bowl of cream!!
The famous Bath Bun. This place isn't the best place for Bath Bun apparently. I'll talk about that another time. Anyway what makes a that a Bath Bun, it's a bun with sugar and raisin. I don't really see how special it is, as it kind of reminds me of those buns back in Malaysia except the sugar content is probably way higher..
Ever since I had the Victoria Sponge at
Peggy's Pantry, I fell in love with it and had to get another. This version was way more tender, but a little too sweet.
I really like how the sets are named. Tea with the Austens, Tea with Mr. Darcy. I'm always attracted to pretty names. Anyway, do drop by for afternoon tea if you happen to be in Bath. Afternoon tea is Bath is a MUST :)

They will start off by serving selection of sandwiches / cakes / tarts.
Scones will then be served about 15-20 minutes later to ensure the freshness of it.
This post will not be descriptive as all I can say is you have to try it out yourself. If you're looking for a traditional English afternoon tea place, go for it. Remember to book in advance. You MUST book otherwise you won't your table.
It costs £42 per person. I believe they have already increased it to £45. Click
here to reserve your table online.

Kunefe is one typical Turkish dessert. But the one I had in Langkawi was not quite close to the original one. I must say, I prefer this version...
There are a lot of things going on in this plate. It is quite a complicated taste. Because it is a secret recipe, we respect that and tried to figure out our best what's made of it.
The cake itself is made of mozzarella cheese (or possibly goat cheese), with caramel, cinnamon and saffron? And the sauce is made of creamy milk, yogurt, almond and cinnamon. I love it how the taste blend really well.
This could only be the best dessert they have in the entire restaurant because it is also the only dessert in the menu.

Scones - cold, dry and hard.
The cake was OK, a bit too sweet. A bit too much cream too.
Apparently their croissants are award-winning ones. Unfortunately it's cold, hard and not even crispy at all. Obviously it has been left on the basket for a very long time...
Only selective branches are good. The one at Kingston is terrible, will not go back again. Besides, the waitress who served us has an attitude, not welcoming at all and rude as well (she asked us if we were going to tip her. Whether we want to tip or it is for us to decide, you don't ask for something you don't deserve at all!). So no way I'm going back to this place. Maybe another branch.

A friend mentioned they are famous for their gelato stuffed in the pastry but I did not try because i had too much for dinner...
So i ordered gelato instead. How can anybody leave Italy without having gelato??
Melon and coffee. Wrong combination i know! But I just felt like having both so yeah. Melon was pretty refreshing whole coffee was extremely heavy. Both were heavy in taste and not too sweet. Perfect isn't it?!
So this place has won numerous awards and recommended in various sites too. So try it if you happen to be around! :)
Coffee panna cotta. Panna cotta is so common, so I ordered the coffee flavoured one. The pudding is really smooth and not very sweet. Apparently their desserts are all homemade. If only I had more room I'd order the tiramisu too..

M&M's at Leicester Square
Four floors of fun!!
M&M candies, just pick whichever colour that you like :)
More like a candy museum than a shop, isn't it?!
It's pretty commercialized, from just coloured candies to pillows, shirts, jewelries, ties, mugs, you name it... Oh well, that's because concept store is a trend..
Rose-shaped mango!
Fruits can be THAT interesting!
Angry bird steamed buns! Now you can have a real life Angry Bird game!
Anyway, no details as it was a gift from someone. These buns are from Ipoh. Creative!

Located right at the top floor of La Rinascente, there is a chocolate section at the food market. Pretty heels and hand bag made of chocolate.... So pretty even if I buy, I won't eat it..
La Perla chocolates.. They have some really interesting chocolates. Bought the chocolate which has coffee bean in it. They have a variety of truffles too.

Colourful macarons, superb princessy design even if it's only a tiny stall in Printemps.
Macarons in box of 6.. Carefully wrapped in that cute tiny box
Unlike the lousy macarons in KL, this one's really good. It's not too sweet which is good. It melts in my mouth whenever I take a bite.
And guess what! They have it in London as well :)

Finally I get to go to the Hello Kitty Sweets Cafe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Call me bimbo, shallow, or whatever.... I just love Hello Kitty because it's cute!
The menu is all in Chinese and the waitress barely speak English. It was a challenge to place our order.
The staff dedicated to decorate my desserts.
The bain marie displaying various Hello Kitty cakes for take aways.
The cafe has desserts-only menu from 3pm to 6pm for tea time. They don't serve other food at this hour. And you have to order minimum NT300 per person.
The creme brulee set that I've ordered.
Uji matcha cake - green tea with red bean.
And my favorite chocolate cake.
The dessert sets came with free mango pudding each for every person. Surprisingly, the mango pudding is the best thing I've tasted in the cafe.
The total bill came up to NT1300 which is pretty affordable.
Overall the cafe and the food was a good experience. I would recommend friends and family to try it out if you haven't. But there are few things which I was quite disappointed with. The day before I intended to visit the cafe, my driver tried to call the cafe to place a booking for a table for me. Apparently the queue is quite long at the cafe (it's true... when I left the cafe there was a huge crowd outside). The waitress never pick up the calls. And they were quite rude when asked why no one bother to pick up the calls. When we arrived, the first waitress that greeted us was quite reluctant to serves us. I'm not sure why.
