Friends suggested hi-tea last weekend. He saw the menu from Chinoz on the Park, they have a RM48 tea set for two. The ambience is really beautiful. If you sit on the terrace, it feels almost like you're in Sydney's Darling Harbour.
However the food is pretty much ok. Wait, let me rephrase that. They food is edible but not worth the price. Everything that comes in the tea set tasted like any other food from the bakery. We ordered two sets for four to share. The two set we've got had completely different selections of sweets. One of us was disappointed that her's didn't come with chocolate cake. And another complaint that she didn't have the cupcake. Of all the foods on the plate, the best was the smoked salmon on bruschetta. That one is seriously kick ass.

We also ordered an extra plate of churros from the ala carte menu to compensate our disappointment. Unfortunately, it just added more to our disappoinment. It tasted like fried flour, that's all. The best churros in Malaysia can be found in a small humble shop in 1-Utama called
Molten Lava.

On top of all the not-so-satisfying tea set and tasteless churros, the service there was pretty bad. The waitress had poker face and they didn't seem that happy serving us. They were quit slow as well. Oh, well... At least the tea was good.

I was so honored to be invited to a dessert party at
Favola, some time two months ago. Yes, this blog post came a little bit too late, but we all know it is better to be late than never.
This is actually an Italian restaurant and the interior do fit in the theme. You can take a look at it yourself.
The wall fabulous wall deco ala Venice. The masks can actually be taken out for photography purpose.
The most important part... the desserts! We were served with varieties of cakes, sweets, chocolate, candy, puddings, etc. Oh, you name it, you'll have it!

Coffee cake

Cheese cake

Tiramisu. Apparently this is their signature dessert. You must try it! It's the mousse type of tiramisu and it's quite hard to find in Malaysia.

Date puddings.

Chiffon cakes
Marshmallow

Strawberries for chocolate fondue.
Spoonful of sugar
More of spoonful treats.

After a few months of saying "I want to try the cupcakes at The Cupcake Family", I finally got a chance to try. Thanks to...
The bf. He surprised me by buying a box of six cupcakes for me.
So cute isn't it? The cupcakes are great, and it will be better if the icing is not that sweet.
Then I feel I should grab some macaroons to try as well.
I picked strawberry, green tea and coffee mocha macaroons. The smaller ones are cookies. Strawberry and vanilla cookies. I personally find the macaroons are great. Especially the strawberry. :)
